General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H.
Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated U.
S.
Army Gen.
Bantz J.
Craddock for re-appointment to the rank of general with assignment as commander, U.S.
European Command, Stuttgart, Germany.
NATO also today approved the President’s nomination of Craddock as Supreme Allied Commander, Europe.
Craddock is currently serving as commander, U.S.
Southern Command.
