Rumsfeld will host a full honor arrival ceremony to welcome Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai to the Pentagon, at noon, EDT. The ceremony will be held on the Pentagon Mall Entrance Parade Field.
Rumsfeld and Karzai will conduct a brief press conference at the Pentagon Mall Entrance after their meeting. Satellite trucks will be screened at 9 a.m.
in the parking lot across from the Citgo Station and then escorted to the site.
The screening is for satellite trucks only.
All cameras and cables must preset no later than 10 a.m. Members of the media without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 1 hour prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.

Spicer, commander of the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group, will brief live from the USS Enterprise at 9 a.m.
in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on the group's support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom as well as maritime security operations in the Arabian Sea. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.
