⢠NATO Secretary General in Kyiv â NATO stands with Ukraine

On 3 February 2026, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Kyiv, Ukraine for meetings with Ukrainian leadership, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He started the visit by meeting with staff at the NATO Representation to Ukraine. He then travelled to Maidan Square where â alongside the President - he lit a candle in memory of the victims of Russiaâs war of aggression.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska travelled to Norway on 2 February 2026, where she participated in the Oslo Security Conference. While in Oslo, the Deputy Secretary General met Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Ragnhild Syrstad.

On 3-4 February 2026, the NATO Military Committee visited Torrejón Air Force Base, where the Combined Air Operations Centre Torrejón (CAOC-TJ) is located. The visit included Spainâs Space Command (MESPA) and key air and space operations facilities, such as the European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen).

Exercise Arctic Dolphin 26 is under way in Vestlandet, Norway, bringing together Norwegian and other Allied naval forces for two weeks of intensive training under Arctic conditions.
