Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group Two (SNMCMG2) participated in exercise ITA MINEX 2026, reinforcing interoperability, operational readiness, and cooperation among Allied maritime forces. During the exercise in the Mediterranean Sea, personnel took part in navigation and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) simulator training sessions, as well as professional exchanges regarding the evolving role of uncrewed surface vehicles (USV) in mine counter-measures operations. NATO and the Serbian Armed Forces concluded their first joint military exercise, marking an important milestone in practical cooperation between NATO and Serbia in NATOâs Partnership for Peace framework.
