NASA MEDIA BRIEFING TO DISCUSS RELEASE OF AVIATION SAFETY DATA

WASHINGTON - NASA will hold a media teleconference on Monday, Dec 31 at 1 p m EST, to discuss its release of the National Aviation Operations Monitoring Service (NAOMS) data The data will be posted on the Web at the start of the teleconference at:

http://www nasa gov

Briefing participants will be NASA Administrator Michael Griffin and NASA Safety and Mission Assurance Chief Bryan O'Connor Griffin and O'Connor will discuss the process NASA followed in preparing the data for public release

Reporters who would like to participate in the teleconference must contact J D Harrington by e-mail by 10 a m Monday Audio of the briefing will be streamed live on NASA's Web site at:
