NASA AWARDS ENTERPRISE APPLICATIONS CONTRACT

WASHINGTON -- NASA has awarded the Enterprise Applications Service Technologies contract to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in McLean, Va SAIC will provide all services in support of the NASA Enterprise Applications Competency Center

The contract is part of the NASA Information Technology Infrastructure Integration Program also known as I3P, managed by the agency's Office of the Chief Information Officer Following a 90-day phase-in period, the agency-wide contract will begin on Feb 1 There will be a two-year base period, followed by one two-year option and one one-year option that may be exercised at NASA's discretion It is a firm-fixed price contract, with an indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) feature The base award of this contract is $85 6 million The maximum potential value of this contract if all options are exercised, including the maximum ID/IQ value, is $321 2 million

Under the contract, SAIC will be responsible for providing all services necessary to operate and maintain NASA's set of integrated enterprise application systems supporting all ten NASA field centers, NASA Headquarters in Washington, and the NASA Shared Services Center in Bay St Louis, Miss The contract, a follow-on effort for the enterprise applications work under the Unified NASA Information Technology Services contract, will be managed by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala

This is the first of several component contracts awarded under the I3P Program NASA will use the contracts to procure services that provide agency-wide management, integration, and delivery of IT infrastructure services These contracts include the Agency Consolidated End User Services Contract, the NASA Integrated Communications Services contract, the NASA Enterprise Data Center contract, and the Web Enterprise Service Technologies contract
