EXPEDITION 31/32 SPACE STATION CREW CONDUCTS BRIEFING, INTERVIEWS

HOUSTON -- Three crew members will discuss their upcoming Expedition 31 and 32 missions in a news conference at 1 p m CST Wednesday, Jan 11, from NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston NASA Television and the agency's website will broadcast the briefing live

NASA astronaut Joe Acaba and Russian cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin are set to launch to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz TMA-04M spacecraft March 29 (March 30 local time in Baikonur, Kazakhstan)

Following the news conference, interview opportunities are available in person, by phone, through internet videoconferencing or via satellite The satellite interviews are scheduled for 3:30-4:30 p m

To reserve an interview opportunity, media representatives must contact the Johnson newsroom at 281-483-5111 by 5 p m Monday, Jan 9

To participate in the news conference from a NASA center, U S journalists must call the center's public affairs office by 5 p m local time on Tuesday, Jan 10 To participate in the briefing by phone, media representatives must call the Johnson newsroom by 12:45 p m on Wednesday, Jan 11 Priority will be given to journalists participating in person; questions by phone will be taken as time permits

International journalists wishing to attend in person at Johnson must contact the newsroom and submit the required paperwork for credentials by 8 a m Friday, Jan 6

Acaba, Padalka and Revin are three of six crew members comprising Expeditions 31 and 32 Aboard the station, they will join NASA astronaut Don Pettit, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and European Space Agency astronaut Andr�� Kuipers

The NASA Live Interview Media Service (LIMS) that will be used for satellite interviews following the news conference has moved to KU-Band service KU-Band parameters will be provided prior to the event NASA will schedule each LIMS event on a satellite in proximity of AMC18 whenever possible
