**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****
Summary For September 26-October 2
R1 (Minor) solar radiation storms were observed on 30 Sep and 02 Oct. R2 (Moderate) solar radiation storms were observed on 01-02 Oct. R3 (strong) solar radiation storms were observed on 02 Oct. This activity was the result of flare activity from Regions 3110 and 3112.
G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storms were observed on 02 Oct while G2 (Moderate) geomagnetic storms were observed on 27 Sep. The G1 activity was related to positive polarity coronal hole high speed stream effects. The G2 activity was related to negative polarity high speed stream effects coupled with CME effects.
No other significant space weather was observed.
Outlook For October 3-9
G1-G2 (Minor-Moderate) geomagnetic storms are expected on 03-05 Oct due to positive polarity coronal hole high speed stream effects coupled with CME effects.
R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) solar radiation storms are likely for the entire outlook period due to flare activity from active regions on the visible disk.
No other significant space weather is anticipated.
