CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla -- Media are invited to attend a ceremony to honor former test pilot and NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong at 1 p m EDT, Friday, Aug 31, at the Apollo/Saturn V Center

Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana will lead the ceremony

U S media who wish to attend must apply for credentials by 4:30 p m Thursday, Aug 30 All media accreditation requests must be submitted online at:

Media must meet at the Kennedy Press Site by noon Friday to be transported to the event
