NASA'S CLOUDSAT AND CALIPSO LAUNCH SCRUBBED
NASA's CloudSat and CALIPSO (Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations) launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif , was scrubbed Tuesday shortly before 6 a m EDT due to higher than allowable upper level wind conditions
The next launch attempt is tentatively set for Wednesday, April 26, at 6:02 a m EDT, pending availability of all required Western Test Range assets Launch commentary on NASA TV starts at 4 a m EDT
Weather is a concern for Wednesday's launch attempt The forecast calls for a 40 percent probability of acceptable weather conditions The primary concerns are for thick clouds, higher than allowable winds, rain showers and isolated thunderstorms
Media covering the launch on Wednesday should meet at the Vandenberg main gate at 5 a m EDT (2 a m PDT) for escort to the press site For media launch accreditation call Staff Sgt Allen Puckett at (805) 606-3595 at the 30th Space Wing Public Affairs Office
