GRIFFIN TO SPEAK AT NASA'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY LECTURE SERIES

WASHINGTON - NASA Administrator Michael Griffin will deliver an important address Monday on the role of space exploration in the global economy, kicking off a lecture series honoring the agency's 50th anniversary

Griffin's lecture will be part of a luncheon held Monday, Sept 17, at 12:30 p m EDT in the Chinese Room of the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington U S Rep Alan B Mollohan of West Virginia will introduce Griffin NASA was created by the National Aeronautics and Space Act and began operations on Oct 1, 1958

The event is open to the press, and reporters in attendance may participate in a question and answer session from 1:30 to 2 p m NASA television will broadcast the event live at:
