NASA RESCHEDULES LAUNCH PAD PHOTO OPPORTUNITY TO MARCH 19
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla - The move for space shuttle Discovery's STS-131 mission payload to NASA Kennedy Space Center's Launch Pad 39A now is targeted for Friday, March 19, starting at 12:01 a m EDT The photo opportunity at the pad now is scheduled for 8 a m on March 19
The additional time will allow shuttle technicians to perform testing on Discovery's reaction control system helium valves
During the event, reporters will have the opportunity to speak with Kennedy's STS-131 payload mission manager, Joe Delai, and Boeing payload flow manager, Mike Kinslow
Media planning to attend must arrive at Kennedy's news center by 7:30 a m for transportation to the event Participants must be dressed in full-length pants, flat shoes that entirely cover the feet and shirts with sleeves Wireless microphones and cell phones are not permitted at the launch pad Changes to this event also will be updated on Kennedy's media phone line, 321-867-2525
Discovery will deliver the multi-purpose logistics module, Leonardo, filled with a variety of spare parts and supplies to the International Space Station Standard preparations for Discovery's targeted April 5 launch date will continue in parallel while the additional helium testing takes place
