ESA
Envisat satellite no longer sending data.
After 10 years of service, the European Space Agency (ESA)
Envisat has stopped sending data to Earth. Since April 8th, ESA’s
mission control has been working to re-establish contact with the satellite,
but while Envisat remains in a stable orbit around Earth these efforts
have not been successful.

This
data stoppage affects a number of PO.DAAC datasets including the GHRSST L2P
AATSR sea surface temperature (SST), Envisat altimeter GDR, and the OSCAR
surface current datasets.
