FGS GSAcq 7 4
FGS REAcq 8 8
OBAD with Maneuver 5 5
SIGNIFICANT EVENTS:
Flash Report: COS Status:
COS event flag2 has been successfully cleared in preparation for NUV fold test, this is the last
time flag 2 will need to be cleared for this proposal .
Flash Report: COS NUV Ready to Resume Science Operations The NUV MAMA Detector was shutdown as a
result of the COS Suspend Event on April 30. The NUV Recovery from Anomalous Shutdown, started on
DOY 128/15:10 UT, has been completed and the data analyzed. The engineering and science data
(darks) obtained during the three-day Recovery Procedure indicate nominal performance of the MAMA
detector and NUV channel electronics. A check of the PtNe lamp that was on at the time of the COS
FUV over-light event has also indicated normal operation. The first science use of the NUV since
the COS Suspend Event on April 30 is scheduled for the week of May 14. The preparations needed to
initiate the FUV recovery, including proposal review and processing, VSTIF testing and scheduling
will take place over the next two weeks.
