The Colombian Chief of Defence, Admiral Francisco Hernando Cubides Granados, was welcomed to NATO Headquarters by the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone. During his visit to NATO Headquarters, he engaged in a series of high-level meetings with NATO military leadership on NATO-Colombia cooperation.

The 193rd NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence Session took place at NATO Headquarters in Brussels on 14 May 2025. Thirty-two Allied Chiefs of Defence discussed NATOâs vigilance and deterrence, continued support to Ukraine, and preparations for the NATO Summit in The Hague in June. The final meeting of the session saw the Ukrainian Chief of Defence, General Sikyrsky, join the NATO-Ukraine Council virtually from Kyiv.
