On 5 and 6 November 2025, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte visited Romania. He met the President of Romania, Nicu�?or Dan, on 5 November. In a joint press conference following their meeting, the Secretary General thanked Romania for its contributions to Alliance defence and security, including leadership in the context of Black Sea security.

On 31 October, NATO held its first staff-to-staff dialogue on defence industrial cooperation and capabilities with Japan at NATO Headquarters. The dialogue focused on current defence industrial priorities, including uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), counter-UAS, science and technology, innovation, standardization and supply chain security.
