NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has welcomed that Sweden will host the next meeting of Allied Ministers of Foreign Affairs. It will take place in Helsingborg, a coastal city in southern Sweden, on 21-22 May 2026.

NATO successfully concluded the first iteration of its enhanced Vigilance Activity, Neptune Strike 26, on 31 March.
