[PO.DAAC Mailing List] New Release of Tellus Mass Grids

April 17, 2012 Tellus Release 5.0 The GRACE project has released a new version of Level 2/spherical harmonic data, Release 5.0 (RL05).  As the new RL05 data become available, the Tellus mass grids will be reprocessed with it.  It will take some time for the GRACE project to complete reprocessing the entire time series so the Tellus Release 4 (RL04) and RL05 will be distributed simultaneously. April 13, 2012 ESA Envisat satellite no longer sending data. After 10 years of service, the European Space Agency (ESA) Envisat has stopped sending data to Earth. Since April 8th, ESA’s mission control has been working to re-establish contact with the satellite, but while Envisat remains in a stable orbit around Earth these efforts have not been successful.
