July 14, 2009 The world's longest running, continuous, research quality, global SST data series has grown even longer. For the first time PO.DAAC is announcing the availability of AVHRR Pathfinder SST data from 1981 through 1985. These data from the NOAA-7 POES satellite were produced by the NODC using version 5.1 of the Pathfinder algorithm.
