[PO.DAAC Mailing List] GHRSST NOAA GOES-17 L2P/L3C Version 2.71 and Himawari-8 L2P/L3C Version 2.70 Datasets Release

Thursday, May 21, 2020 The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the GHRSST NOAA GOES-17 (G17) L2P/L3C version 2.71 and Himawari-8 (H08) L2P/L3C version 2.70 datasets. GOES-17 is the second satellite in the US NOAA's GOES-R series equipped with Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) sensor identical to GOES-16 satellite. H08 is the 8th of the Himawari geostationary weather satellites operated by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). Its Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) sensor is almost the same as GOES-17/ABI.
