Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England have no public or media events on their schedules.

Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace speaks at 7 p.m. EDT at the National Defense Night, which is sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution and the 115th Continental Congress.

Army Colonel Jeffrey J. Snow, commander of the 1^st Brigade, 10^th Mountain Division, will brief live from Iraq at 9 a.m. EDT, in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update on ongoing security operations in Iraq.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.   Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.   Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
