DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 William T.
Flanigan, 37, of Milan, Tenn.
died in Kandahar, Afghanistan, on July 2 when his helicopter crashed during combat operations.
Flanigan was assigned to the Army National Guard's 4th Squadron, 278th Armor Cavalry Regiment, Jackson, Tenn.
The incident is under investigation.
