General Officer Announcement

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Marine Corps Col. Charles M. Gurganus for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Gurganus is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff, G-3, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
