Statement by the NATO Secretary General
on the US-Russia Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism

 

I welcome the US-Russia Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism.  All states have a profound interest in helping to prevent the acquisition, transport or use by terrorists of nuclear or radioactive materials.  This Initiative will help to enhance multinational cooperation to combat nuclear terrorism, and can therefore make an important contribution to improving international security.
