Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld hosts an honor cordon to welcome Central Military Commission Vice Chairman of the People's Republic of China Gen. Guo Boxiong to the Pentagon at 11:30 a.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon Mall Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon North Parking Entrance no later than 11 a.m. EDT for escort to the cordon.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Mr. John P. Roth, Deputy Comptroller from the Department of Defense will discuss how effective are Defense processes for producing reliable, accurate, and timely cost estimates for the Global War on Terrorism. The hearing, "Global War on Terrorism (GWOT): Accuracy and Reliability of Cost Estimates" is scheduled for 2:00 pm EDT in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

Chief, National Guard Bureau, Lt. Gen.  H Steven Blum will provide remarks at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's 97th annual convention at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center.
