Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England will host a biobased showcase and educational event Tuesday, Sept. 12, beginning at 9:15 a.m. EDT, in the Pentagon Concourse. England, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns, Sen. Tom Harkin, Sen. Richard Lugar, Rep. Marcy Kaptur and Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment Philip Grone will provide remarks.

The event, scheduled to last through noon Wednesday, Sept. 13, will bring together members of the biobased product industry and those in DoD who specify, buy and use commercial or industrial products. DoD employees will be able to browse multiple product booths and attend a series of panel discussions on specific product categories.

Journalists are invited to attend the opening remarks scheduled to take place between 9:15 - 10 a.m on Sept. 12.
