Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Rear Adm. Paul S. Stanley for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as director, force structure, resources and assessment, J-8, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Stanley is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for capabilities and resource integration, N8, Commander, U. S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
