DoD Identifies Army Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Cpl.
Chase A.
Haag, 22, of Portland, Ore., died in Baghdad, Iraq, on Oct.
1 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
Haag was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
