DoD Identifies Army Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc.
Daniel W.
Winegeart, 23, of Kountze, Texas, died Oct.
17 in Baghdad, Iraq, from injuries sustained when his Light Medium Tactical Vehicle drove off an overpass.
Winegeart was assigned to the 5th Group Support Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Ky.
This incident is under investigation.
