Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $1,454,286,932 modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-06-C-2222) to exercise two fixed-price incentive options for construction of the eighth LPD 17 Class amphibious transport dock ship (LPD 24), with long lead time materials and associated labor for the ninth ship of the LPD 17 Class, LPD 25. In addition to ship production, this effort will include procurement of long lead material and also inspection, testing, storing and maintaining the long lead material. The contractor will perform material sourcing, material ordering, vendor interface and material quality assurance. The contractor will also provide management efforts, including subcontract and risk management. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss. (90 percent) and New Orleans, La. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed by March 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Lockheed Martin Corp., St. Paul, Minn., is being awarded a $68,900,000 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-04-D-0082) to exercise an option for the A-Kits, B-Kits, installations, and other support equipment required to convert P-3C Update II.5 aircraft into the P-3 Anti-Surface Warfare (AsuW) Improvement Program (AIP) configuration. Work will be performed in Greenville, S.C. (85 percent), and Clearwater, Fla. (15 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded an estimated $39,372,896 cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-5330) to provide additional engineering and technical services to support STANDARD Missile - 2 (SM-2) production efforts for Fiscal Year 2007 U.S. requirements. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by February 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Raytheon Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded an estimated $25,509,891 cost-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-5330) to provide additional engineering and technical services in support of the STANDARD Missile - 2 Guided Missile Program under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Initial funding of $311,095 will provide services for Germany (50.3 percent) and Canada (49.7 percent). The purchase of additional services by other countries - Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, and Spain - has not been finalized. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $9,150,518 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00019-04-C-0001) to exercise an option for the Fiscal Year 2007 acquisition logistics support for the Lot IV Low Rate Initial Production H-1 aircraft. Support to be provided includes systems engineering and program management, development of logistics management information data for technical publications, management data, development of a supportability analysis plan, peculiar support equipment sustainment, and logistics and field service representative. Work will be performed in Hurst, Texas, and is expected to be completed in May 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, Greenville, Texas, is being awarded a $5,895,180 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-05-C-0038) for the removal and replacement of structural material on 3 sets of outer wings for P-3 aircrafts. Work will be performed in Greenville, Texas, and is expected to be completed in October 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. General Dynamics, Electric Boat, Corp., Groton, Conn.,is being awarded a $5,748,078 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development to support the Underwater Express program to demonstrate stable and controllable high-speed underwater transport through supercavitation. This effort will help determine the feasibility of supercavitation technology to enable a new class of high-speed underwater craft for future littoral missions that could involve the transport of high-value cargo and/or small units of personnel. This contract contains two options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative potential value of this contract to $37,105,768. Work will be performed in State College, Pa. (37 percent); Groton, Conn.(24 percent); McLean, Va.(14 percent); Reston, Va. (10 percent); Bethesda, Md. (12 percent); and Newport, R.I. (3 percent), and is expected to be completed October 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $3,377,441 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is being awarded under a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Broad Area Announcement (BAA) (No. 06-13), which solicited proposals via the Federal Business Opportunities website, for advanced research and development under the provisions of FAR 6.102(d)(2) and FAR 35. In accordance with the criteria of the BAA, the General Dynamics, Electric Boat, Corp., proposal was evaluated by DARPA through the process of peer and scientific review. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-07-C-2002).

This thirteen-month contract includes two, fifteen-month options; the first option has a potential value of $17,050,929 and the second option has a potential value of $23,397,921. The cumulative, potential value of this contract including both options is $45,846,975. Work will be performed in Annapolis, Md. (50%); State College, Pa. (42 percent); Sunnyvale, Calif.(4 percent); College Park, Md.(1 percent); Minneapolis, Minn. (1 percent); Cambridge, Mass. (1 percent); and Newport, R.I. (1 percent), and the expected completion date is September 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $2,479,413 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is being awarded under a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Broad Area Announcement (BAA) (No. 06-13), which solicited proposals via the Federal Business Opportunities website, for advanced research and development under the provisions of FAR 6.102(d)(2) and FAR 35. ARMY

Freightliner L.L.C., Portland, Ore., was awarded on Nov. 1, 2006, a delivery order amount of $128,374,009 as part of a $506,129,548 firm-fixed-price contract for M915A3 truck tractors and M916A3 light equipment transporters. Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on April 21, 2000, and two bids were received. General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded on Nov. 1, 2006, a delivery order amount of $37,636,643 as part of a $38,746,356 firm-fixed-price, fixed-price level-of-effort, and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for labor and materials to reset M1A1 vehicles. Work will be performed in Aniston, Ala. (40 percent), Lima, Ohio (20 percent), Sterling Heights, Mich. (10 percent), and Scranton, Pa. (30 percent), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 24, 2006. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-G-N001).

AM General L.L.C., South Bend, Ind., was awarded on Nov. 1, 2006, a $21,776,843 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for purchase of frag #5 retrofit kits. Work will be performed in South Bend, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on July 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-S001).

DRS Sustainment Systems Inc., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Nov. 2, 2006, an $18,393,224 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for M707 armored KNIGHT vehicles and associated spares. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on April 14, 2006. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-06-C-0523).

MTU DetroitDiesel, Detroit, Mich., was awarded on Nov. 1, 2006, a delivery order amount of $7,879,200 as part of an $84,432,445 firm-fixed-price contract for 6V53T diesel engines for the M113 P11 Vehicle Conversion Program. Work will be performed in Emporia, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 15, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-D-M005).
