Dr. Paul Mayberry, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Readiness will brief on Department of Defense training transformation at 1100 EST in the DoD Breifing Studio, Pentagon 2E579. He will be joined via DVIDS by MG Jason Kamiya and BG Joe Votel from Ft Bragg, NC. They will provide information on a Mission Readiness Exercise to train U.S., Afghan and International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) rotating into Afghanistan in January 2007. MG Kamiya was the former commander of coalition forces in Afghanistan until spring 2006 and is currently the Director, Joint Training and commander of the Joint Warfighting Center. BG Votel is the Deputy Commanding General 82nd Airborn Division. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.
