Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld has no public or media events on his schedule. Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England will attend the US Australian Ministerial Meetings at the State Department Tuesday, Dec. 12. At 11 a.m. EST he and Minister of Defense Nelson of Australia will sign the Joint Strike Fighter Memorandum of Understanding in the Treaty Room. Media may attend, but the event is a photo-op only. At 2:45 p.m., Secretary of State Rice and her counterpart, Minister Downer, will hold a media availability. Secretary England and Minister Nelson will also be in attendance.
