Secretary of Defense Farewell Honor Ceremony

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will be honored at an armed forces full honor parade at the Pentagon's Mall Entrance Parade Field at 1:15 p.m. EST, Friday, Dec. 15, 2006.

President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace, U.S. Marine Corps, will attend the farewell ceremony for Rumsfeld.
Satellite trucks will be parked at the Mall Entrance beginning at 6 a.m. All camera positions and cables must preset no later than 8:30 a.m. Satellite trucks will be swept in place.
Members of the media without a Pentagon building pass will be escorted from the North Parking Entrance only. Escorts will be provided from the entrance to the ceremony site from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Members of the media must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
