The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Andrew P.
Daul, 21, of Brighton, Mich., died Dec.
19 in Hit, Iraq, of injuries suffered then an improvised explosive device detonated near his Abrams tank during combat operations.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.
