Personnel Recovery Conference Media representatives are invited to cover the Department of Defense 2007 Worldwide Personnel Recovery Conference and Exhibition Tuesday through Friday at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, 2500 Calvert St., Washington, D.C.
Media should present credentials at the conference registration desk.
The theme for this year's conference is "advancing personnel recovery capacity and capabilities through partnerships among the DoD, interagency, partner nations, and industry by charting a strategic course for personnel recovery with a National Personnel Recovery System."
Approximately 250 attendees have registered from the DoD, other agencies of the U.S.
government, and officials from allied nations.
Many presentations are open to media, including presentations by the conference host, Ambassador Charles Ray, deputy assistant secretary of defense for POW/missing personnel affairs (8:30 a.m.
Tuesday).
Secretary of the Air Force Michael Wynne will deliver the keynote address at 9 a.m.
Tuesday, and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm.
Edmund P.
Giambastiani Jr., speaks at 10:30 Tuesday.
