Statement by NATO Secretary General
On behalf of the NATO Alliance, I express deep condolences to the Afghan
people on the passing away of the Father of the Nation, Mohammed Zahir
Shah. He symbolised the unity of a nation which the Afghan people, with
our support, are rebuilding today. NATO will remain committed to helping
achieve that vision.
