Awards will be presented to DoD employees who demonstrated excellence in internal management controls.
The Check-it Campaign began in 2006 in order to increase awareness of the effectiveness of internal controls across all functions in order to help us save lives, husband scarce resources and make the best use of taxpayer dollars.
Effective internal controls are important for achieving more effective and efficient processes and operations across all functions throughout DoD.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.
Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
