Discussions on the future status of Kosovo, on Serbia’s Euro-Atlantic
integration and co-operation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia (ICTY) will dominate the debates of the 67th Rose-Roth seminar
to be held in Belgrade, Serbia, 25-27 October.
Some 60 legislators from NATO and partner countries, together with a
significant number of academics and experts, will gather in the Serbian capital
to discuss with government officials, international officials and opinion
leaders from the Balkans about the major regional political and security
issues.
Kai Eide, former UN special envoy to Kosovo and Norway’s ambassador to
NATO, will open the meetings on Thursday 25.
Carla Del Ponte, ICTY Chief Prosecutor, will be in Belgrade to address the
seminar on Friday 26.
Jonas Jonsson, Javier Solana’s personal representative and head of the
preparation team in Kosovo, and Steven P. Schook, Principal deputy special
representative of the UN Secretary general in Kosovo, will also address the
seminar on Friday 26.
