Tackling the global threat of small arms and light weapons

Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council countries and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe are co-sponsoring an international conference, which is supported by the United Nations, at NATO Headquarters. The conference focuses on strengthening the role of regional organizations in addressing the global threat posed by the proliferation, illicit trade and use of small arms and light weapons (SALW).

Tenth anniversary of the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre

The Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) celebrated its 10th anniversary at NATO Headquarters on 28 May 2008. During the ceremony, the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero, inaugurated an exhibition displaying the main achievements of the EADRCC in the last decade.

NATO holds a conference to address its helicopter needs

The NATO Conference of National Armaments Directors (CNAD) will hold a Transport Helicopter Conference on 1-2 July 2008 in Brussels.
