NATO Leaders Discuss
Military Experimentation in Oslo
NORFOLK, Va. -- NATO's
Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT) and U.S. Joint
Forces Command (USJFCOM) will co-sponsor the 2008 Concept Development and
Experimentation (CD&E) Conference Nov. 17 – 20, in Oslo, Norway. The Norwegian Defence Staff will host
the conference. Approximately 230
people from 33 countries and NATO are expected to attend.
A primary goal of the
conference, building partner-nation relationships, is reflected in its theme,
"CD&E Partnerships to Address 21st Century Security Challenges." Conference topics
include:

Military contribution to
defence against terrorism
·
Irregular adversaries
and non-compliant actors
·
Strategic
communication
·
Military support to
stabilization activities and reconstruction efforts
FOR THE MEDIA: Brigadier General Ernest Otto Berk,
German Army, Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff Joint Experimentation, Exercises
& Assessment, HQ Supreme Allied Commander Transformation and Rear Admiral Dan Davenport, Director
of Joint Concept Development and Experimentation, US Joint Forces Command and
will conduct a media availability session by phone in English from Oslo on
Tues., Nov 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., US EST. Media wishing to participate in
