Museum Curator, Aeronautics. The Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum seeks a Museum Curator in the Aeronautics Division. He/she will perform curatorial tasks in the history of flight, with emphasis on the history of aviation in  Europe and particularly Germany, including scholarly and technical research on artifacts concerning European Aviation; exhibit development; participation in public service efforts; and development of the collection of aviation artifacts.  Applicants must have:  1)  knowledge of the history of flight, with emphasis on the history of aviation in Europe and particularly Germany; 2) skill in performing scholarly and technical research as evidenced by authorship of professional papers and scholarly publications. A PhD in History or related social science field is preferred. This is a federal civil service position, grade 11 $62,467-$81,204 per year, dependent on education and experience.  Job closes July 6, 2010.
