Announcement of new GHRSST Level 2P, Level 3 and Level 4 sea surface temperature (SST) products
Several new SST products from the Group for High Resolution Sea Surface Temperature (GHRSST) Project are available from the GHRSST Global Data Assembly Center (GDAC) hosted at the Physical Oceanography DAAC (PO.DAAC).
These new products include Level 2P:
- regional 1 km data from the AVHRR on NOAA-19 (AVHRR19_L and AVHRR19_G)
- global 1 km data from AVHRR on MetOp-A (AVHRR_METOP_A)
- regional 4 km from geostationary GOES-13 Imager (GOES13)
- regional 4 km data from geostationary MTSAT-1R instrument (MTSAT_1R)
- regional 3 km data from geostationary Meteosat Second Generation (MSG_02)
Level 3:
- global 0.05 degree resolution from AVHRR on MetOp-A (GLOB_AVHRR_METOP_A)
- regional 0.02 degree resolution from AVHRR on MetOp-A (NAR_AVHRR_METOP_A)
and Level 4:
- global 0.01 degree resolution blended SST (G1SST)
- regional 0.01 degree resolution blended SST (MUR beta)
The complete list of all GHRSST products and their specifications can be found here:
http://ghrsst.jpl.nasa.gov/GHRSST_product_table.html
These products are temporarily in a separate data management stream than existing GHRSST products and therefore have a slightly different FTP URL. They can be found at:
ftp://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/GHRSST2
They are not yet available via OPeNDAP nor have they been transfered to the NOAA National Oceanographic Data Center that also archives and distributes all products through the GHRSST Longterm Stewardship and Reanalysis Center (LTSRF).
