NATO Secretary General meeting with President Obama

The NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen will meet with the President of the United States, Barack Obama on Friday 13 May 2011 at the White House.

They will discuss NATO’s operation enforcing UN Security Council Resolutions 1970 and 1973 on Libya, including the protection of Libyan civilians. They will also review NATO’s progress in Afghanistan and look ahead to the next NATO Summit scheduled in the United States in 2012.

The meeting will conclude the Secretary General’s week-long trip in the United States.
