NASA History Listserv Subscribers,

Many of you already know that we have a Twitter account (@NASAHistory), but did you know that we've just gone live on Facebook as well?  You can find us at: http://www.facebook.com/NASAHistoryOffice We are just getting started on Facebook, so if you have any ideas or suggestions of things you would like to see there please drop me a note at bill.barry@nasa.gov  And, feel free to "like" our page.

Also, we just selected our summer interns for 2013.  They are: Drew Simpson, a doctoral candidate at Carnegie Mellon, and Cody Knipfer, a sophomore at McDaniel College.  It was a really tough selection this time.  We had 40 qualified applicants and narrowing the field was a real challenge.  Drew and Cody will both start with us in August and end their internships in/around early August.  The deadline for applications for next fall's internship program is June 1st.  If you know someone who is a student (and also a US citizen) please encourage them to apply.  You can find details at: http://history.nasa.gov/interncall.htm

Finally, our friends in Aeronautics have released another new book "Crash Course: Lessons Learned from Accidents Involving Remotely Piloted and Autonomous Aircraft."  This is another excellent book by Pete Merlin.  It is available as a free eBook or PDF from the NASA eBook portal.  Here: http://www.nasa.gov/connect/ebooks/crash_course_detail.html

All the best,

Bill Barry
