The Multiscale Ultrahigh Resolution (MUR) Level 4 sea surface temperature dataset has undergone a revision to version 4.  This new version has an updated parameterization for the high-latitudes based on sea ice concentration data. It also uses the following new datasets: WindSat microwave SST data and iQuam in situ SST data.

The new version is now available as of 1 March 2013. Historical MUR SST (back to mid-2002) will be converted to version 4 over the next several months. A few directories on the PO.DAAC FTP server may contain both versions (3&4) for an interim period.
