PO.DAAC will retire its long running subsetting tool, POET (http://poet.jpl.nasa.gov) on July 31, 2013.  This will be replaced with Live Access Server (LAS).

Users are encouraged to try our LAS Level-3 gridded data visualization and subsetting tool (http://podaac-tools.jpl.nasa.gov/las).
 
LAS is a well utilized and familiar subsetting and visualization tool for the Earth Sciences. It enables the web user to: visualize data with on-the-fly graphics, request custom subsets of variables in a choice of file formats, access background reference material about the data (metadata), and compare (difference) variables from distributed locations.  We will be adding more datasets to LAS in the next coming months.
