Dear wind product user,

A spacecraft anomaly first detected on 17 September 2013 of the Metop-B Solid State Recorder (SSR) requires correction. This anomaly impacted the enhanced timeliness achieved through the Antarctic Data Acquisition (ADA). During the recovery period there will be a short interruption to all Metop-B products. Following the recovery the enhanced timeliness  achieved via ADA will be interrupted for approximately 5 orbits.

The anomaly recovery will take place on 30 September 2013 9:15 UTC and a short outage of the OSI SAF and EARS ASCAT wind products from Metop-B is expected.

Best regards,
Anton Verhoef
