The RapidScat Project has ceased production of the Version 1 RapidScat L2B data since 2 April 2015. Originally we intended to release Version 1.1 early enough to avoid any interruption in the data pipeline but the validation of the new dataset was delayed. The Version 1.1 data has been processed and validated by the RapidScat Project and is in the process of becoming archived and distributed via the PO.DAAC.
For users who are impacted by this outage, please consider utilizing the Version 1.1 data at the following FTP link: ftp://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/allData/rapidscat/L2B12/v1.1/.
The Version 1.1 data is being provided on a provisional basis until all relevant user access and support services have been established and validated for this dataset.
We anticipate full access and user support services to the Version 1.1 data in the coming weeks, which will be accompanied by a final data release announcement.
