            On an unrelated note, the applications site is now open for the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) Fellowships Program in aerospace history. See http://airandspace.si.edu/research/fellowships/application-instructions.cfm. Application deadline is January 15, 2016, for the 2016-17 academic year for the Guggenheim Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships and the Verville Fellowship for mid-career academics, journalists and professional writers. Applications for the Lindbergh Chair in Aerospace History are for the 2017-18 academic year, as it usually requires more time for senior scholars to arrange sabbatical leave. Prospective applicants are encouraged to work with curators in the Aeronautics and Space History Departments to refine their applications beforehand. See http://airandspace.si.edu/research/staff.cfm for staff biographies and emails.  Projects that are only partially aerospace-related will also be considered.  Applicants are encouraged to file a parallel application to the Smithsonian Institution Fellowships Program. Note that their deadline is December 15.
