INTERSTELLAR ASTEROID "LIKE NOTHING EVER SEEN": Last month, telescopes around the world rushed to observe an asteroid from interstellar space as it raced through our Solar System. Some of the data from those observations was published in today's edition of Nature, and they reveal an object like no one has ever seen before. The deep-space asteroid, named "'Oumuamua", is tinged dark red, made of dense rock or metal, and shaped roughly like a giant cigar at least 400 meters long.
